Clear terms designed to protect travelers while honoring commitments to local chauffeurs, guides, and boutique accommodation partners.
1. How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the primary booking lead via email to info@thuryavoyages.com or via verified WhatsApp to +94 71 26 36 467, quoting your official Booking Voucher Reference ID. Cancellations take effect on the business day the written request is acknowledged by our office.
2. Standard Tour Cancellation Scale
The refundable amount is determined based on the number of days prior to scheduled arrival in Sri Lanka:

| 7 – 14 Days Prior | 50% Refund | 50% retained towards confirmed driver allocations and hotel late-cancellation charges. |
| Under 7 Days or No-Show | Non-Refundable | Full package cost retained due to strict hotel non-refund rules and scheduled chauffeur dispatch. |
* Bank intermediary wire fees and credit card processing merchant deductions (approx. 3-4%) are non-refundable.
3. Government Scenic Train Tickets & Safari Permits
In compliance with national regulations of Sri Lanka:
- Sri Lanka Railways Reserved Seats: Scenic train tickets (e.g. Kandy – Nanu Oya – Ella) are officially non-refundable and non-transferrable once issued by Sri Lanka Railways with passenger passport numbers.
- National Wildlife Parks: Entry permits issued by the Department of Wildlife Conservation (Yala, Wilpattu, Udawalawe) and whale watching naval permits are non-refundable once purchased.
4. Refund Processing Method & Timelines
Approved refunds are processed back directly to the original payment source (international bank account or payment card) within 7 to 14 business days. Thurya Voyages will provide an official bank transaction advice or refund receipt upon execution.
5. Cancellation or Modifications by Thurya Voyages
In the highly improbable event that Thurya Voyages is forced to cancel an itinerary prior to departure due to operational constraints, we will offer:
- An alternative tour itinerary of equivalent standard and duration, OR
- An immediate 100% full refund of all monies paid to Thurya Voyages.
Flexible Postponement Guarantee
Should you need to change your holiday dates due to documented flight changes, visa delays, or medical reasons with at least 14 days notice, Thurya Voyages allows you to reschedule your entire tour without penalty for up to 12 months, subject to seasonal hotel rate variations.
